The Simpson County Adult Detention Center was built in 1973 and is currently housing 44 inmates. The jail is managed by the jail administrator. The jail staff consist of two shift supervisors and eight full time certified detention officers along with one transport officer. The jail also has a full time nursing staff.
Bonding time is from 7am until 10pm seven days a week. A list of bail bonding agents is located at the jail. In addition to professional bail bonding, Property bonds are accepted Monday through Friday from 8am - 4pm excluding any holidays. Inmate visitation is each Sunday from 1-3 pm. Prior approval for visitation is required before visitation day. Please print and return the visitation request form along with a picture id. No one under the age of 15 is allowed to visit. Proper attire is required. No shorts, sleeveless shirts or halter tops are allowed. Dress length must come to your knees. Jail staff has the final approval of attire. Visitation is limited to immediate family only. Mother , Father,Sister, Brother, Grandfather, Grandmother and children. No purses or cell phones are allowed.No drugs, alcohol or tobacco allowed. All visitors are subject to be searched. Any violations will be prosecuted. Any one caught giving false information will be prosecuted. Picture ID is required before admission
ITEMS YOU MAY BRING TO AN INMATE
Soap,Shampoo or Deodorant, Must be in see-thru containers and grouped together in a zip lock bag. Paper back books, no hardbacks or magazines allowed. 3 pair of socks, t-shirts and undershorts, boxers only and all must be white in color. No tobacco. Toothbrushes, Razors or combs, are furnished by the jail staff. No cell phones. No radios allowed, they may be purchased on the commissary. All packages must be examined by jail staff upon delivery. Any contraband included with package will result in prosecution

VINE (Victim Information and Notification Everyday) is a service that allows crime victims to obtain timely and reliable information about criminal cases and the custody status of offenders 24 hours a day. No call to inmates will be allowed except in an extreme emergency situation. Inmates have phones in each cell and can call out whenever they want to. The Simpson County Jail uses an Electronic Inmate calling system. Please be aware that charges are associated with each call. If you wish to receive calls you must first set up a prepaid account .Call 1877.650.4249 to set up your account. This is the only way to set up your account.We cannot do it for you.

Orders are received on Sunday after 6:pm and are delivered the next Wednesday
Money must be in the inmates account befour Sunday at 6:00 pm or the ORDER will not be placed.NO EXCEPTIONS!
Inmates may spend a maximum of $30.00 per order, regardless of the amount they have in the commisary account.
If the order is placed and the inmate is released prior to receiving the commissary , It must be picked up within 72 hours after it is received
Money orders may be mailed to the County jail. Pleas make payable to Simpson County Jail and the Inmate. Please place inmates name on the money order and the outside of the envelope.
